Surrounded by buffalotaur and fighting for survival, what Lewis and Clark need most is a monster killer. And her name is Sacagawea.

Manifest Destiny #4 eBook Chris Dingess Matthew Roberts Owen Gieni

4.5 stars.

This is one of my favorite current series. The writing (plot, characterizations, dialogue) and art (facial expressions, costumes, scenery, backgrounds) are all fantastic.

In this volume, we learn of a previous group of explorers from 1801 (Lewis and Clark started in 1804, and that is the year in this story as well). Their story and their encounters with monsters runs parallel to our protagonists. It is excellent and interesting storytelling. Captain Helm, the 2nd in command of the previous party, is the main character in this volume. His journey and reactions are fascinating.

Dingess hasn't fallen off a bit. This series is outstanding.

Manifest Destiny #4 eBook Chris Dingess Matthew Roberts Owen Gieni Reviews

Great series
Fun, imaginative "science fiction" approach to the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Not history, but entertaining.
Outstanding artwork and writing!
This is such a great series. I love the juxtaposition of history and science fiction elements. So many surprises in each issue.
I love the premise behind this series. The story and artwork are well done too. This is a great read.
Definitely worth every penny! There is such a hunger to see what could possibly happen next . I savor every paragraph
I really enjoy this series because I find the juxtaposition of fantasy and historical characters to be really wonderful, and the art is amazing. I've been following the series since the first book and each has been fun and intriguing.
